Share File between Mac Os X and Ubuntu

You’ll need the latest version of VirtualBox with Guest Additions installed in Ubuntu.

  • With the Virtual Machine powered off and selected in VirtualBox, go to:
    Machine > Settings… > Shared Folders
  • For “Folder Path”, click the icon to browse for the folder you want to share.
  • For “Folder Name”, enter a name to describe the share.
  • Click “OK” and start the virtual machine again. (not necessary)
  • Create a mount point which is basically an empty folder.
  • Fire up the terminal and type:
    sudo mount -t vboxsf folder_name path_to_mount_point
    folder_name is the name you typed in earlier to describe the share
  • Wohoo! You should be able to browse the shared folder now.
Mental note: do not choose the same names for the folders (IDIOT!)

Las Tutucas y todo lo demás

Como cada vez que intentamos ponernos serios, con las tutucas, también lo arruinamos. El maíz inflado, el sándwich de chorizo; la copulación y los preservativos: palabras que existen para opacar sus versiones más frescas. Las tutucas tienen en su nombre el ritmo que lleva masticarlas. Basta con intentarlo para comprobar que es absolutamente imposible masticar como maíz inflado azucarado. Estamos sin dudas ante un nombre de creación infantil que no pudo haber nacido sino de un juego. Las tutucas, el pochoclo, el pururú, la cachucha: nombres con gracia que resultan imposibles de pronunciar con el seño fruncido. Pararse frente a un espejo y repetir sin reírse la saga chizito-cachucha-tutuca es un intento inconveniente. Vistas por separado tienen forma de gigantesca muela plagada de caries. Puestas en esas enormes bolsas, son un pelotero milagroso.
